Banning books

Salmon Rushdie is trying to ban the publication of a book about him written by a former bodyguard and describing him as “scruffy” as well as "mean, nasty, tight-fisted, arrogant and extremely unpleasant”. Frit wonders why he doesn’t just go for the fatwa option on writers of books you don’t like. Though why he should go to the trouble is a mystery as the whole world must surely already know what a mean, nasty, tight-fisted, arrogant and extremely unpleasant scruffy blighter he is.
