Speech difficulties

When they feed us the news, journalists are unable to speak the words “Silvio Berlusconi”. These two words stick in their throats. The only way to get them out is to accompany them with a gratuitous description, e.g.:

· “. . . multimillionaire Silvio Berlusconi said . . .” (German ARD television)

· “. . . Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s wealthiest businessman, said . . .” (British BBC television)

There are two reasons for this:

a) Silvio Berlusconi dares to feed us the news himself, whereas the ruling class has a rule that says only the ruling class shall feed us the news.
b) Silvio Berlusconi makes a lot of money and members of the ruling class hate anybody to make more money than they make.
