Bishopesses, who cares?

The Church of England, a religious organisation with a once proud history of robbing the rabble and keeping them in order, has now degenerated into a talking shop for the empty-headed, endlessly debating the convoluted pros and cons of issues like appointing women bishops. In Frit’s opinion, empty-headed women have just as much right as empty-headed men to dress up in funny garb and talk rubbish, but can a woman in all seriousness really be offered something called a bishopric? Sounds all wrong.

Unsavoury Nazi escapes condemnation once again

Unsavoury Nazi conman Chavez has arrested a certain General Vivas Perdomo, who asked Venezuela's Supreme Court to toss out Chavez's order for troops to salute with the motto "fatherland, socialism or death - we will triumph."

May Frit ask if it is possible to get closer to “national socialism or death” than “fatherland, socialism or death”. But CNN, where Frit first heard of this, makes no comment. Instead, it just reports that the arrested general “claims” the motto is unconstitutional and that it violates the military's apolitical tradition.

Catching Karadzic

A horrible and barbaric civil war welled up in our modern times in Bosnia. Those who rule us were shocked. The world of fur they have built for us is not supposed to feature wars, especially not in Europe. Wars belong to history, to the times before those who rule us came to power. So, in their discomfort, they ignore complex circumstances and unpalatable realities and simply seek individuals to pin it on. Karadzic is one such. Slobodan Milosofabitch was another. The philosophy is that as long as someone is to blame, we ourselves are not (and, as long as those to blame are arrested, we can earn bags of cash from the legal process for years on end).

The picture at http://www.serbianna.com/features/srebrenica/031.shtml is an unpleasant reminder that the true tale is a little more real and less straightforward.

What was once a “lazy, selfish slut” is now a “strong woman”.

The faraway Frit reader

Frit thanks the faraway Frit reader for kind comments!

Multimillionaire messiah cometh

The cult of B.A Barackabamism is fast spiralling into the realms of the absurd. Multimillionaire Barackabama is already a hundred times more wonderful than multimillionaire Jack Kennedy, multimillionaire Carter and hectomillionaires B and H Clinton all put together (but somehow without detracting from any of them).
On his current Great Tour of All Ye World The Saviour Cometh he is greeted everywhere with frenzy. His shining presence is currently gracing Germany where people of all colours, creeds and sexes, whipped into a froth by the media, appear to be experiencing spontaneous multiple orgasm in public. By the time the election arrives the heights of wonderfulness Barackabama achieves will be beyond comprehension. He is the knight in shining armour. He is the redeemer. He is the alpha apex of human prospects and possibility, and not just the next in the never ending stream of smooth, stage-managed, spin-wise charlatans and manipulators of the gullible and the young that Frit first thought him. Not at all! Oh Saviour of the World Multimillionaire B.A. Barackabama, oh Great Idol and Divinity, Frit begs forgiveness and seeks humble permission now to vote for and worship Great Thee!

Serious diplomacy

The New York Times says that “For six years, President Bush rejected any serious diplomacy with North Korea. That obstinacy made the world a more dangerous place. While he was refusing to talk, Pyongyang made more fuel for more weapons and tested a nuclear device.”

Like all the others who feed us the news, the New York Times conveniently forgets that North Korea developed its nuclear weapons programme whilst hectomillionaire Clinton occupied the Whitehouse. In between bouts of diddling the staff, Clinton paid large sums of American money to the North Korean communists when they said they would not develop a nuclear weapon if they were given money. They then used the money they were given to develop a nuclear weapon and came back for more, and more. The current administration refused to pursue this particular type of “serious diplomacy”. Its “obstinacy” in this matter is what has brought about change.
